Briar Point Beach 2025 Season Info

BRIAR POINT BEACH

Located at the end of Briar Point Avenue off Arnold Road (70 West Shore Drive). 

Offers swimming (at your own risk – no lifeguards on duty), picnic facilities, parking area, and restrooms. No boating, fishing, or grilling allowed.

The 2025 beach season is May 23 through September 1. 

Beach hours are 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Parking passes are required STARTING JUNE 13 for vehicle entry Friday-Sunday and on Holidays during the beach Season.

 

Parking passes must be obtained at the Parks and Recreation Office, 1277 Main Street, Coventry, during normal business hours. The Recreation office is open Monday – Friday (excluding Holidays) from 8:30am – 4:30pm. 

 

Proof of eligibility to obtain a parking pass:

 

Coventry Resident – A valid photo ID with Coventry address listed and the current and

valid vehicle registration in your name.  If your photo ID and car registration addresses

are different, you must show another proof of Coventry residency (utility bill, tax bill, etc.)

or for Renters, a copy of a year-round (12 month) lease and the current and valid registration

of the vehicle to be eligible for resident rates.

 

Non-Coventry Resident – A valid photo ID with your current address listed and the current

and valid vehicle registration in your name.

 

No stickers will be sold on site.             
                                                                  

No beach parking allowed in the neighborhood.

 

Seasonal Parking Sticker Rates:

 

Resident: $25; Non Resident: $50 – Payable by cash, check, or card

 

Please note that vehicles with parking passes are allowed to enter the beach on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no guarantee of availability if the parking lot is at capacity.
