The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) will be resurfacing and making repairs to the Washington Secondary Bike Path. Work will begin at Depot Street in Cranston and progress south through Warwick. It continues through West Warwick, ending at WhitfordStreet in Coventry. The project includes drainage improvements,paving, striping, fence replacement, erosion controls, as well as improvements to pedestrian signals and ADA ramps at street crossings. This will be night work and residents will hear noise from construction.
When is it happening?
Sunday through Thursday nights: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning in mid-June as detailed below:
Mid June –Early July: West Natick Road, Warwick to Bradford Soap, West Warwick
Early July –Late July: Bradford Soap to Providence Street, West Warwick
Late July –Mid August: Providence Street to WhitfordStreet, Coventry
